IR Learner

Product Code: GC-IRL

Global Caché's GC-IRL IR Learner is a must-have tool for dealers, installers, and home automation enthusiasts. The compact IR Learner is used with a PC to learn the full spectrum, 30 KHz to 500 KHz, of IR codes that control infrared-driven equipment.

IR Extender

Product Code: GC-IRE

The Global Caché GC-IRE IR Extender extends infrared capability by converting IR signals to ASCII serial data, which can then be read from any PC or RS232 serial port. The IR Extender is designed for use with various IR input devices to capture IR commands that can be recorded, played back, and used to initiate actions across a network.

General IR Receiver

Product Code: GC-RG1

Capture IR frequencies from 30KHz to 72KHz for use of IR commands on your home automation network. The General IR Receiver plugs directly into the GC-IRE IR Extender to capture and digitize IR signals.  Global Caché’s General IR Receiver can also operate within a Xantech or Xantech compatible environment.

Xantech to GC-100 Cable

Product Code: GC-CGX

The GC-CGX is used to connect a Global Cache IR output (GC-100 or iTach) to a Xantech IR input. Global Cache IR outputs are converted to meet the IR input requirements for a Xantech IR distribution environment. IR signals from 30KHz to 72KHz can now be sent through an existing Xantech IR installation directly from one of our units. The GC-CGX is optically isolated to ensure circuit isolation and protection.

IR Converter Cable

Product Code: GC-CXG

Global Caché CXG technology allows IR devices, such as remote controllers, to act as digital input devices in a networked environment. By converting IR information to serial ASCII text through the Global Caché  GC-IRE IR Extender (sold separately), IR can now be considered a new input method for digitally controlled installations.  The Xantech to GC-IRE IR Converter Cable is used to connect a Xantech or SpeakerCraft IR output to the GC-IRE IR Extender. IR emitter output voltages are converted to the industry standard levels to meet the IR input requirements for the Global Caché GC-IRE. The IR Extender then translates IR signals to serial ASCII text, which can be read by a PC or GC-100 Network Adaptor via the RS232 serial port.

Video Out Sensor

Product Code: GC-SV1

Global Caché's GC-SV1 Video Out Sensor monitors the power status of video equipment by detecting the presence of a composite video signal. The Video Out Sensor determines the power state of video equipment. When your VCR or DVD player is powered up, a video signal will be present even if the tape or DVD is not in play mode. The Video Out Sensor can be plugged directly into the GC-100 Network Adaptor connecting the sensor to the network. Additionally, the Video Out Sensor will work with other controllers which provide 5V power and accept digital logic (TTL) input. The Video Out Sensor connector is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. It requires +5V to operate, it provides a sensor output representing the presence of a composite video signal.

AC/DC Voltage Sensor

Product Code: GC-SP1

Global Caché's AC/DC Voltage Input Sensor monitors the on-and-off status of electronic components by detecting an AC or DC voltage greater than +/- 2V. Voltages up to +/- 24V can be connected to the Voltage Sensor to determine the powered state of equipment, power strips (via a wall adapter), or the "ring" condition of a telephone circuit. The Voltage Sensor is optically isolated and clamped by a transient voltage suppressor to ensure circuit isolation and protection from voltage surges. The Voltage Sensor can be plugged directly into a GC-100 Network Adaptor connecting the sensor to the network, or the Voltage Sensor will work with other controllers that provide 5V power and accept digital logic (TTL) input. The Voltage Sensor connector is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack.

Contact Closure Sensor/Relay

Product Code: GC-SC1

The Global Caché GC-SC1 contact closure sensor detects the open-and-closed status of a pair of isolated contacts, such as a relay or switch. It is ideally suited for detecting contact closure on blinds, thermostats, security contacts, and door states. Its circuitry provides a rapid response to contact closure (4mS) with a slow response to contact opens (75mS). This eliminates false triggers due to contact bounce created by mechanical contacts coming together, such as push buttons or relays. The Contact Closure Sensor requires +5V to operate and provides a logic level output representing the contact closure state. The Contact Closure Sensor is connected directly across the contacts, with the open/close state to be determined. There is no polarity to the wiring. The Contact Closure Sensor can be plugged directly into the GC-100 Network Adapter connecting the sensor to the network. Additionally, the Contact Closure Sensor will work with other controllers that provide 5V power and accept digital logic (TTL) input. The Contact Closure Sensor connector is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack.

IR Blaster for GC100

Product Code: GC-BL2

The GC-BL2 is designed for use with the Global Caché GC-100 Network Adapters to transmit IR signals across a room up to 40 feet. No power supply or connecting block is required for use. With an IR modulation frequency range of 30 - 500 kHz and 40 foot transmission range, the GC-BL2 is the obvious solution to any IR signal strength problem. The GC-BL2 employs a standard 3.5mm stereo plug and 6 foot cable for easy connection and installation for use with the GC-100 Network Adapter.
