On Controls Case Studies
COMPLEX PROBLEMS REQUIRE UNIQUE SOLUTIONS
EASY TO USE AND CONFIGURE
HiFi Group chose On Controls due to the incredible flexibility that app-based control and cloud-based programming provides.
HiFi needed a solution that was highly customisable and improved the efficiency of programming and installation. In addition, they needed a control platform that would enable them to scale their solutions to meet clients' continually evolving demands.
The On Controls web-based app builder allows HiFi to do on-the-fly programming and quick deployment to customers' installations. The flexibility to swap all aspects of the user interface, especially graphics, allows for enhanced creativity and customisation for each specific client scenario ranging from single-room theatres to multi-zone home automation projects.
VERSATILE AND CUSTOMIZABLE
When Atlanta based home automation company Monarc Tree decided to revolutionise the rental marketplace by offering automation technology to tenants, they chose On Controls as a partner.
Monarc Tree needed to seamlessly build home automation into new construction multi-unit development projects while delivering a simple and beautiful user experience to tenants.
Together, On Controls and Monarc Tree developed a solution that allows tenants to simply download the Monarc Tree app upon move-in, which allows them to control lighting, media and entertainment, as well as heating and cooling systems while at home or jet-setting around the world. The app is intuitive to use and scalable across any size development project.
SCALABLE AND RELIABLE
Best Buy Magnolia stores were looking for a way to replace their ageing audio switcher control system used in store demonstrations.
In addition to improving the user experience, Magnolia wanted to significantly reduce the price of installation and maintenance of their stores in order to accommodate updates every 3 months.
Using our control platform, the Best Buy/Magnolia team was able to create, design and deploy a unique control solution that was able to handle the nearly 30 million commands required to audition a 5.1 audio system. “There wasn’t anyone else that was multi-platform, flexible enough and affordable. We reduced the change-out time by 90 percent,” says Brent Newman, senior manager, Technology Design for Best Buy, in an interview with CE Pro.
